Volume licensing for companies

If your company needs Avalw Shield on more than a handful of devices, volume licensing gives you a simpler purchasing process, discounted pricing, and all licenses managed under a single company account.

How it works

Instead of buying licenses one at a time, you purchase multiple licenses in a single order. You choose the number of seats you need, complete the purchase, and all license keys are delivered to your company account immediately. From there, you distribute them to your employees.

Each license works the same as an individual license: lifetime validity, one-time activation per device, full features. The only difference is the pricing and the management.

Volume discounts

The more licenses you buy, the lower the price per seat. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout based on quantity.

Company accounts

Volume licensing requires a company account on shield.avalw.ai. When you create your account, you select "Company" as the account type and provide your company name and details.

Company accounts are different from personal accounts in a few important ways:

• No license limit. Personal accounts can hold up to 7 licenses. Company accounts have no limit.
• Volume discounts. Only company accounts get volume pricing. Personal accounts pay the standard price.
• All licenses in one place. You can see all purchased licenses, their activation status, and which devices they're on, all from a single dashboard.
• Invoice and billing. Company purchases include proper invoicing with company name, VAT ID, and billing address.

Deployment

Deploying Shield across your organization is straightforward because Shield has no server component and requires no infrastructure on your side.

Step 1. Purchase the number of licenses you need through your company account on shield.avalw.ai.

Step 2. Distribute the license keys to your employees. Each employee receives a unique key.

Step 3. Each employee downloads Shield from the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store, opens the app, and enters their license key.

Step 4. The employee completes face enrollment on their device. This takes less than a minute and is stored locally on their machine.

That's it. No server setup, no VPN configuration, no MDM profiles, no IT infrastructure changes. Shield runs entirely on the employee's device with zero network dependencies.

What IT teams should know

Shield is designed to be invisible to your IT infrastructure:

• Zero network traffic. Shield never connects to any server. No firewall rules needed, no proxy exceptions, no bandwidth impact.
• No cloud dependency. Shield works offline. If your network goes down, Shield still protects every device.
• No data collection. Shield processes camera frames locally and discards them immediately. No images, logs, or usage data are stored or transmitted.
• No admin backdoor. There is no remote management, no remote disable, no telemetry. This is a feature, not a limitation. It means Shield itself cannot be a vector for data exposure.
• Standard app installation. Shield is distributed through the Mac App Store and Microsoft Store, which means standard app management policies apply.

When to consider volume licensing

Volume licensing makes sense when:

• You need Shield on 20 or more devices
• You want to manage all licenses from a single account
• You need proper invoicing with company details and VAT
• Your employees handle sensitive data (client information, financial records, healthcare data, legal documents)
• Your office has open workspaces where screens are visible to others
• Your team works remotely or from shared spaces like coworking offices

No subscription, no renewal

Shield licenses are lifetime. You pay once per device. There is no annual subscription, no per-seat monthly fee, no renewal invoice next year. The license is valid permanently on the device it's activated on.

For companies, this means predictable costs. You buy 50 licenses today, and those 50 devices are protected forever. No recurring line item in your budget, no surprise price increases, no vendor lock-in through subscription dependency.

If an employee changes devices, you can request a replacement license at no cost. The same device replacement policy applies to company accounts.
